A pyrometer measures surface temperature from the infrared a hot object emits, without touching it. On an induction machine that is not a convenience, it is the only practical option: the part is inside a coil, it is moving, and it is at a temperature no contact probe would survive.

We use non-contact temperature measurement where the process calls for temperature feedback. A correctly selected and configured pyrometer helps control the heating cycle as starting conditions change. Target size, surface condition and emissivity all matter to the measurement.

We are a dealer for industrial pyrometers. We supply handheld, digital, fixed and infrared instruments for metal processing, heat treatment, induction heating, forging, foundry and steel applications.

Questions engineers ask

Do I need a pyrometer on my machine?

If your parts arrive at a consistent starting temperature and your cycle is fixed, a timer may be enough. If starting condition varies, or the finish temperature is tight, closed-loop control on a measured temperature is the difference between a process and a hope.

Which brand do you supply?

Tell us your temperature range, target size and mounting requirements. We will recommend a suitable instrument from our current pyrometer range.

Tell us about the part.

Send a drawing, the material, the case depth or temperature you need, and your production rate. Our engineers will help define the right machine for your process.
