The ABE range
Our model numbers identify the power rating in kilowatts. ABE-50AB is a 50 kW supply; ABE-120AB is a 120 kW supply.
Our induction systems cover 5 kW to 500 kW. The models below are part of that range; contact us for a configuration outside these power classes.
| Model | Power | Max shaft dia. | Specified for |
|---|---|---|---|
| ABE-15AB | 15 kW | Ask us | Brazing, End heating, Annealing, Hardening, Tempering, Soldering |
| ABE-25AB | 25 kW | 30 mm | Brazing, End heating, Annealing, Hardening, Tempering, Soldering |
| ABE-40AB | 40 kW | Ask us | Brazing, End heating, Annealing, Hardening, Tempering, Soldering |
| ABE-50AB | 50 kW | 60 mm | Brazing, End heating, Annealing, Hardening, Tempering, Soldering |
| ABE-60AB | 60 kW | 80 mm | End heating, Hardening, Tempering, Billet heating, Brazing |
| ABE-70AB | 70 kW | Ask us | Hardening |

| ABE-120AB | 120 kW | 120 mm | End heating, Hardening, Tempering, Billet heating |
Where the table says “Ask us”, we will confirm the specification against your drawing, material and production requirements.
How to read the range
A kilowatt figure on its own does not tell you whether a machine suits your part. Three things do, and only one of them is in the table.
- Power decides throughput
- The kilowatt rating sets how much metal you can bring to temperature per hour. Doubling the power roughly halves the heating time for the same part, up to the point where heat cannot conduct inward fast enough and you start scorching the surface.
- Frequency decides depth
- Frequency is chosen separately from power, and it is what sets how deep the heat is generated. We build medium, high and ultra high frequency machines and select the band per application rather than per model.
- The coil decides everything else
- Two machines with identical power and frequency will produce different results with different inductors. The coil is designed to the component, which is why a machine is quoted against a part rather than ordered from this table.
