Tractor and agricultural equipment
Parts that work in soil and abrasion, where wear resistance decides service life.
Tractor and agricultural components live a hard life. They work in soil, which is abrasive; they see shock loading from ground engagement; and they are expected to last a season without attention. Wear resistance is not a refinement here, it is the whole specification.
We develop inductors and hardening processes for tractor parts and agricultural tools, alongside auto components, JCB parts and hand tools. We select the machine and cycle for the wear surfaces, material and production rate you specify.
The engineering requirement is the familiar one, at a larger scale: a hard surface that resists abrasion over a core tough enough to survive impact without fracturing.
Worth knowing
- Larger sections are common in this sector, which pushes towards the upper end of the range: the ABE-60AB for shafts to 80 mm and the ABE-120AB for shafts to 120 mm.
- Ground-engaging parts are frequently forged before they are hardened, so bar end heating and billet heating are often part of the same production flow.

- Bar and end heatingHeating only the end of the bar that is about to be formed, and nothing else.
