Electroplating and metal finishing
The second half of the business: DC power for plating lines, from 300 A to 10,000 A.
Alongside our induction machines, we design and build IGBT based air cooled high frequency electroplating rectifiers. Both product lines draw on our experience in controlled industrial power electronics.
A plating rectifier does one job: deliver smooth, controllable DC to a bath. How smooth it is decides how uniform the deposit is, and how well it is controlled decides whether the process is repeatable from load to load.
Our range runs from 12 V 300 A to 12 V 10,000 A, with 18 V and 24 V ranges also available. The units are air cooled, which removes the water circuit, the oil, and the cooling infrastructure that oil-cooled rectifiers still common in Indian plating shops require.
Worth knowing
- We also operate an automated electroplating line, bringing practical process experience to our rectifier work.
- To size a rectifier: the plating process, the bath voltage, the peak current the work load draws, whether periodic reverse or pulse is required, and the duty cycle.
