Alloy wheels and castings
CI ring, drum and bush pre-heating, under closed-loop temperature control.
We build dedicated induction systems for pre-heating cast iron rings and bushes used in alloy wheel production.
Alloy wheel production pre-heats cast iron rings, drums and bushes before assembly. The temperature governs the fit, and the fit governs whether the assembly is correct. An oven treats every part in the batch identically regardless of how it arrived; a temperature-controlled induction station treats each part according to what it actually needs.
We build medium frequency machines designed specifically for this: the ABE-50AB CI ring and bush dual heating machine heats one bush and one CI ring together in a single operation with precise temperature control, and the ABE-40AB CI ring heating machine handles rings alone. A fully automatic PLC controlled vertical heating station with inbuilt DM water cooling is also supplied.
Worth knowing
- Dual heating in a single operation is the distinguishing capability: ring and bush together, both at their correct temperature, in one cycle rather than two.
- Because pre-heating wants the section uniformly hot rather than a hot skin, these machines are medium frequency.
